Jennifer Gillman is the President of Gillman Strategic Group. She founded the company so she could focus solely on the candidate side of law firm partner placement and give each partner her full attention. A recovering lawyer herself, Jennifer knows how busy law firm partners can be, and how overwhelming starting the process of finding a better fit might sound, so Gillman Strategic Group is committed to taking on as much of the legwork as possible, to make the process less time-consuming and more enjoyable for candidates.

Jennifer received her law degree from New York University School of Law in 1996 and her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, magna cum laude, in 1993. She began her legal career as a litigation associate at Sills Cummis & Gross, spent many years practicing employment law at Littler Mendelson’s New York office, and was in-house with a former client for two years.

In 2009, Jennifer finally realized that legal recruiting combined her two passions of law and matchmaking (she’s responsible for two marriages), and joined a well-regarded full-service legal recruiting firm in New Jersey. During her almost ten years at the firm, Jennifer gradually changed her focus to partner search so she could become a “law firm matchmaker”.

She is very proud that she has improved the lives of a large number of lawyers over the years by helping them find positions that were a better fit for their professional and personal aspirations. She hopes to help many more law firm partners in the future understand that not all law firms are the same, and finding the right fit can truly make their practice seem effortless.

Jennifer lives in Westfield, New Jersey with her lawyer husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants with her husband and their friends, and taking early morning walks in town, but never forgets that she still needs to make a third marriage to be a true matchmaker.
